TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Here at Vale Royal Falconry, we provide a range of hands on birds of prey, archery and meerkat experiences during 1st April – 30th September, by appointment only, subject to availability. Bookings are made on a first come first served basis with limited numbers of participants to ensure quality time with the birds and animals.
OPENING HOURS
Our office opening and operating hours for delivering booked experiences and off site services are:
10.30am – 5.30pm March – October
10.30am – 2.30 November – February.
Please note that all of our falconry flying experiences and meerkat experiences are only available during the months of Spring (April, May), Summer (June, July, August) & Autumn (September) 1st April – 30th September 2026.
PURCHASING EXPERIENCE DAYS & GIFT VOUCHERS
Our experience days (subject to availability) can be booked over the phone or gift tickets can be purchased on line via our website. Gift card and voucher will be posted out by first class post within 48hrs of purchase. Our website shop accepts any card payment or Paypal. Please call 07974064078 if your order is urgent and we can take payment details over the phone and post the card out or arrange a time for you to collect and pay in person.
Vouchers are not refundable.
If you wish to make a direct booking, please ring to discuss availability and we will book a date and time for you. Payment will be required up front or a deposit to be agreed with a Vale Royal Falconry Director.
Deposits paid are not refundable.
SPECTATOR TICKETS
Spectator tickets are available to accompany a participant on an experience session. We do not offer general entry tickets to the falconry centre as we are not open to public day visitors and provide experiences by appointment only.
Spectator tickets can be purchased with the experience voucher over the phone or on the day of the booking. Any extra spectator numbers must be specified at the time of booking your experience day as there is limited availability. Spectator tickets can accompany all of our experiences but not technical training lessons or courses.
VOUCHER VALIDITY
2026 tickets are to be used 1st April – 30th September for the falconry and meerkat experiences, giving ample time and opportunity to book in. Vouchers must be booked and redeemed within the validity period.

We will request the voucher reference number displayed on the ticket or your order number at the time of booking.
As numbers are limited on each experience session, we advise on booking early to avoid disappointment, especially during the summer and weekends. At certain times of the year it may be necessary to book your experience up to 8 weeks in advance.
CANCELLATIONS OF BOOKING DATES
We require a minimum of 1 week of notice to cancel or re-arrange a booked experience date otherwise this will invalidate a booking or gift voucher. A £20 re-arrangement fee will be charged. (not applicable to spectators).
Participants who fail to turn up for their booked experience will invalidate their vouchers or booking.
Please note that if you are late you will lose that portion of the day and it will not be repeated as it is not fair to other participants.
A booking cancellation can only be rearranged and re-booked once during the validity period and vouchers can not be extended beyond the expiry date.
AGE LIMITS & ABILITIES
Participating juniors for falconry based activities is limited to 8 years and over. Families can bring younger children to watch or accompany a tailored family falconry experience if pre-arranged.
Our meerkat experience is suitable for 8 years and over, although we may allow 6 yrs and over following prior discussion about suitability and prior experience with cats or dogs. Please call to discuss.
Hawk & Eagle experiences, Archery experiences, technical lessons and courses are provided for adults only.
We can tailor our experience sessions to suit all ages and abilities. Please ring to discuss.
Our hawk walk involves a leisurely walk around the grounds, on fields and through some woodland.
Our Owl Prowl experience has minimal walking involved as this is provided at a seating area and into the edge of the field meadow to provide a more up close and personal encounter.
EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS
We provide all of our experience days in all types of weather throughout the year and have an undercover area for brief shelter when it is raining to handle and fly some of the birds of prey. The meerkat experience is undercover and is not weather dependent. We advise participants to wear suitable outdoor clothing.
We reserve the right to postpone a day at any time with reasonable cause due to extreme weather conditions such as severe wind gales and rain / storms or snow and ice. If we have to postpone an experience day we will offer an alternative date but we are unable to give a refund in this instance.
