Vale Royal Falconry Centre is based at Acton Bridge, North Cheshire. It is run by experienced and dedicated professional falconers Phil & Nanette who have a passion for birds of prey, conservation and education.
Their mission statement is focused on; ‘educating people about British Birds of Prey, their habitats, and providing a greater insight into the ancient art of falconry’.
They offer a personal and friendly service and will tailor bird of prey experiences, training or a display for your event to suit your personal needs and requirements.
Phil has over 40 years experience in the practice of the art of falconry, and has flown many species of birds ranging from the smallest falcons to the large golden eagle. He has bred Harris hawks for over 30 years and has supplied many falconry centres and other falconers with their first birds of prey and has supported many of the falconry clubs and members with training over the years.
Nanette has over 25 years experience of training and flying a range of birds including many of the owl species and along with Phil provides training for beginners in falconry to achieve the LANTRA award.
Their bird of prey collection includes many of the British species from the magnificent Golden Eagle to the beautiful barn owl. They have over 50 birds of prey, many of which can be seen on a private tour when you book in for an experience day.
Phil & Nanette invite you and your friends and family to get up close and enjoy these wonderful birds, and think positively about conservation.
Set in the beautiful Cheshire countryside at Acton Bridge, you can learn about the ancient art of falconry and how its skills are used to show the birds’ natural behaviour.
All visits to the centre are by appointment only and with quality of time in mind, so why not book in for that special occasion and get up close and personal with some magnificent birds of prey!
